Update September 22, 2022
In mid-May, Mom came home to Cleveland to live out her days at St. Mary of the Woods, but it wasn't meant to be. The night before she was to move in, she was hospitalized for pneumonia, two weeks later she died surrounded by her children and a lifetime of devotion to God.
We miss her so much. Thank you God for the gift of Mary's life.

We celebrated Mom's 90th birthday last year! Mary Tracy, born on November 21, 1931, is the mother of five (more like 10, since she treats her children's spouses like her own), grandmother "Gigi" of 13 and great grandmother to 16 and counting. We already think of her as a great-great, so we'll see what God has in store. Mary is a "Dominican Girl through and through" having been educated by the Dominican sisters at Holy Name, St. Mary of the Springs and Ohio Dominican. She was married to Tom Tracy for nearly 63 years until his death in 2016. Among her many accomplishments, Mary helped instill a love of reading as the library lady at St. Christopher's in Cleveland, OH and then as owner of "Turn of The Page" bookstore for over ten years. She was also a soloist at mass and for weddings and other events from a young age. She still has a beautiful voice! Mary & Tom "retired" to Hilton Head Island, SC but never stopped working. Mary has been a "traveling grandparent" and an active parishioner of Holy Family of which she & Tom are founding members. Recently Mary decided it was time to move back to Cleveland to be at St. Mary's of the Woods where she can attend mass daily, travel to most of her family in the Midwest and continue to be a shining example of God's love in the world.
Thank you Mom for always being there for us, for showing us that "readers are leaders" and for continuing to pray for us every day. We love you!
